The SHARE foundation - global health branch is dedicated to advancing global health by fostering partnerships and stimulating initiatives for scientific exchange and medical education worldwide.
Since 2015, SHARE global health focuses on identifying innovative educational programs and implementation strategies to empower physicians, community representatives, and stakeholders in low- and middle-income countries with the knowledge needed to improve services and policies in both governmental and private institutions.
With an international network of experts and thought-leaders, SHARE global health is able to identify scientific gaps and educational needs, as well as developing partnerships for the development of tailored approaches.
Our foundation prioritizes several urgent global health challenges, such as HIV/AIDS, Long COVID, Prevention of Infectious Diseases, Pandemic Preparedness, as well as other disease areas that are in need of transformative developments and innovative opportunities. We seek to address immediate needs while fostering innovation that reshapes the future of global health.
SHARE global health achieves this by providing:
-
Encouraging scientific exchange and medical education;
-
Stimulating forums to discuss evidence-based planning of public health strategies;
-
Initiating partnerships to develop training and capacity-building for healthcare providers;
-
Assistance in developing guidelines and in drafting policy documents;
-
Facilitating community engagement;
-
Developing campaigns;
-
Promoting stakeholder involvement and commitment.
Our Key Focus Areas
HIV / AIDS
HIV/AIDS continues to impose a major disease burden worldwide, demanding sustained investment in prevention, treatment, and eventual cure. In particular, we strive to promote quality care for underrepresented populations such as children, adolescents and women, whose lives are affected disproportionately.
LONG COVID
Long COVID has emerged as a pressing and poorly understood condition with long-term consequences for millions, requiring rapid research to guide care and recovery. We are strongly committed to voicing the needs in this field and stimulating international, multi-disciplinary collaboration to advance and improve treatment and care.
PANDEMIC PREPAREDNESS
The COVID-19 crisis has underscored the critical need for pandemic preparedness—from surveillance to response systems—to protect against future global threats. Here, advances in artificial intelligence offer unprecedented potential to accelerate discovery, improve diagnostics, and optimize responses across all infectious diseases
